Agar, Wilfred Eade (1882 - 1951)

Agar was Professor of Zoology, University of Melbourne 1919-1947 and introduced the disciplines of cytology and genetics. During this time he was Dean of Science for two terms, in 1930 and again from 1940-1943. A graduate of King's College, Cambridge, Agar demonstrated in zoology in Glasgow and travelled to Paraguay prior to coming to Australia.
